Annual Totals puts a whole year on one page. It is the place to answer "how did this year go?" and to compare what you planned with what happened, month by month and category by category.
What you'll learn
- How to change the year
- The difference between the Budgeted, Actual and Comparison views
- How to export or print the year
What you see
- Previous year and Next year arrows, with the year in the title.
- Export CSV and Print / PDF buttons.
- The view switch: Budgeted, Actual and Comparison.
- Visualize Data — shows a bar chart of income and expenses by month.
- The summary: Yearly Income, Yearly Expenses, Amount Left and Savings.
- The table: one row per category and one column per month. Groups such as Income and Bills can be expanded to show their categories.
Switch the view
- Budgeted shows the planned amounts for each month and category.
- Actual shows the amounts recorded.
- Comparison shows the planned and recorded figures together, so you can see where they differ.
Select Visualize Data to show the chart of income and expenses by month. In the Budgeted view, the chart title reads "Annual Totals — Budgeted".
Annual totals show what the app has recorded. A month with no transactions entered shows zero actuals even if you spent money, so keep your entries up to date.
Export and print
- Export CSV downloads the year as a spreadsheet file.
- Print / PDF opens the browser print dialog for the page.
