Net Worth tracking shows what you own minus what you owe. Enter your assets (cash, investments, property) and liabilities (mortgage, credit card, loans) for each month, and the page adds them up and shows the trend over the year.

What you'll learn

  • The categories you can track
  • How to add an entry for a month
  • How to read the totals and the monthly trend

The Net Worth Tracking page

The Net Worth Tracking page: the yearly totals, then the Assets and Liabilities tables with one column per month

What you see

  • The year arrows, CSV and Add Entry in the top bar.
  • The totals for the year: Total Assets, Total Liabilities and Net Worth.
  • The Assets table and the Liabilities table. Each has a column for every month of the year. Each row shows the Entry Name, its Category and the amount for each month. The group header shows its total.
  • The trash icon at the end of a row deletes an entry, after you confirm.
  • The Monthly Trend chart below the tables.

If you have no entries, the page says "No entries yet" and asks you to add your assets and liabilities.

Categories

  • Assets can be in the Cash, Investment or Property category.
  • Liabilities can be in the Mortgage, Credit Card or Loan category.

The Monthly Trend chart: net worth across the months of the year

The Monthly Trend chart plots your net worth month by month. Enter the same kinds of entry each month, using the same names and categories, so each row can be compared across the year. Net Worth is Total Assets minus Total Liabilities.

Update net worth once a month, on the same day. A consistent routine matters more than precise values.
