The Investments page projects what your investment accounts could be worth. It is a planning estimate: enter a starting balance, a monthly contribution, an annual return rate and a duration, and the page shows the projected final balance. It does not connect to your brokerage.
What you'll learn
- How to add an investment account
- How to read the projection and the totals
- How fees change the outcome
The Investment Projection page
What you see
- CSV downloads the projection. Add Investment adds an account.
- The totals: Total Contributions, Total Interest Earned and Estimated Final Balance, with the number of holdings.
- Asset Allocation: the share of each asset class across your accounts.
- One group per asset class, with the group's total Initial Balance. Each row shows the account name, Initial Balance, Monthly Contribution, Annual Return Rate (%), Duration (Years), Estimated Final Balance and Projected gain. Each row also has a chevron that expands its projection, a pencil icon to edit it, and a trash icon to delete it.
- Fee impact: a table with the Total fees cost above it. Each account has its Fee %, Without fees, With fees and Fee cost.
If you have no accounts, the page says "No investment accounts yet" and invites you to add one.

Asset allocation
The bar and the legend show how your accounts are split between asset classes. Each class is listed with its number of accounts and its share of the total.
Read the projection
Select the chevron on an account row to see its year-by-year projection, with Start Balance, Contributions, Interest and End Balance for each year. The Portfolio Growth chart shows how the total grows over the years.
Interest is added each year on the growing balance, so the earlier you start and the longer the period, the more it grows.
Fees
With a Fee % entered, the Fee impact table shows the value Without fees and With fees side by side, and the Fee cost in money. The Total fees cost above the table adds up the fee cost for all accounts. Even a small yearly fee can take a noticeable share of the final value, so compare the two.
The projection uses the return rate you enter, not a market forecast. Real returns vary from year to year and can be lower. Treat the result as an illustration.
