My Goals: Finding and Filtering Your Goals

How the My Goals page works: goal cards, the All Areas and All Status filters, reordering, the Export, Template and New Goal buttons and the free plan counter.

My Goals lists every goal you have as a card. Use it to find a goal, see where each one stands and open its plan. Open it from My Goals in the sidebar, or from My Goals links on the dashboard.

The page header

The header shows the title My Goals and a line such as 27 goals total.

The toolbar

The My Goals toolbar: the two filters on the left, Export, Template and New Goal on the right

From left to right on the toolbar you see:

  1. Free plan counter (free accounts only) — how many of your 3 goals you have used, with an upgrade link. See Plans, limits and export.
  2. Export — downloads your goals as a CSV file on a paid plan. On the free plan the button opens an upgrade message instead.
  3. Template — opens the template picker. See Templates.
  4. New Goal — opens the goal form. See Creating and editing a goal.

Filters

  • All Areas — show goals from one life area only.
  • All Status — show Not Started, In Progress or Achieved goals only.

The two filters can be combined. The selected area is also kept in the page address, so a link from a dashboard tile opens the list already filtered.

Goal cards

Each card shows:

  • The status at the top of the card, with a colour: Not Started, In Progress or Achieved.
  • Edit (pencil) and Delete (trash) icons.
  • The life area and the goal name.
  • The deadline, with Overdue when it has passed.
  • Progress: the percentage and a bar.
  • Your next step: the first step you have not completed, or Achieved with the count of completed steps for an achieved goal.
  • Counters at the bottom: steps done out of total (for example 5/10) and milestones done out of total (for example 1/4).
  • Open plan — opens the goal's detail panel on the right. See The goal detail panel.
One goal card: status, area, name, deadline, progress, next step and the counters

Clicking the goal name also opens the panel.

Reorder goals

Each card has a drag handle at its top-left corner. Drag it to change the order of your goals.

Reordering only works when both filters are set to All Areas and All Status. With a filter on, the handles are hidden, so the order of the goals you cannot see is never changed.

Empty results

If your filters hide every goal, the page says No goals match your filters. If you have no goals at all, it says No goals found and offers a Create Goal button.

How to find a goal

  1. Open My Goals.
  2. Pick an area in All Areas and a status in All Status.
  3. Click Open plan on the card you need.
  4. To clear the filters, choose All Areas and All Status again.

FAQ

No. Use the All Areas and All Status filters, or open the life area from the Life Areas page, to narrow the list.

Dragging is only available when no filter is set. Reset All Areas and All Status to All, then drag the handle.

On a paid plan it downloads a CSV file of your goals. On the free plan it opens an upgrade message. See Plans, limits and export.
