The Website Editor is where you write and arrange your couple website. Open it from Couple Website → Website Editor in the left menu. The editor fills itself from your wedding plan, so names, date, place and many details are already there. You change what you want to say, and the rest stays in sync.
Before you open the editor you need a website. If you have none yet, the page says No website yet and asks you to Browse templates first. See Publishing your couple website for how templates and publishing work.
The top bar
- The title Website Editor, with your template name. Click Change template to pick another design.
- Settings — opens Website Settings, where you publish, set the web address and password. See Publishing your couple website.
- View live — appears only after the website is published. It opens the public page in a new tab.
- Save changes — turns on when you have changed something. Click it to save your edits. It shows Saving… while it works.
Colours
The Colours row shows round swatches:
- Your wedding colours (the first swatch) — uses the colours from Theme & Style. This is the default.
- The template's own palettes — click one to use it instead.
The text under the swatches says which colours are in use. Change your wedding colours on the Theme & Style page.
Sections and their order
The list below the colours shows each section of the site, in the order it appears on the page:
- Opening (the top of the page)
- Countdown
- Our Story
- Schedule
- Wedding Party
- Photo Gallery
- Travel & Stay
- Gifts
- Q&A
- Guestbook
- RSVP
- Footer
Each row has:
- A name button. Click it to open the section's fields. Click again to close it.
- Move up and Move down arrows to change the order. The first and last rows have a disabled arrow.
- An eye icon, Hide section or Show section, to show or hide the section on the page. Opening and Footer are always on, so they have no eye icon.
Hidden sections keep their content. Showing them again brings it back.
Each section's fields
- Opening — the top of the page uses your names, date, place and photos from Wedding Settings. The editor also has Hero photo and Couple photo slots: click Choose to pick a photo, Change to replace it, or Remove photo.
- Countdown — counts down to your wedding date automatically. There is nothing to type.
- Our Story — two text boxes for your story (Tell your story… and an optional second paragraph). Below them, add milestones with Add row: a When (for example 2016) and a Milestone title.
- Schedule — rows with a Time and What happens, plus an optional Note. Use Add row for more rows, and the trash icon to remove one. A Dress code text box sits under the rows.
- Wedding Party — members with a Role, a Name, an optional Group, a one-line bio, and a Member photo (choose one photo per member).
- Photo Gallery — shows the couple's photo wall. Click Choose photos to open the picker. You can select several photos; the order you click them is the order they show on the site. Use selection saves your choice.
- Travel & Stay — Place / hotel and details (distance, booking code), plus an optional city guide: a Spot (for example "Best coffee") and Why you love it.
- Gifts — a Label (for example "Honeymoon fund"), a link, and a Gift note. Use this for a cash fund or a registry link. The gift registry itself is described in Gift registry.
- Q&A — question and answer pairs, with Add row for more.
- Guestbook — messages your guests have left. For each one, Hide or Show it on the site, or Delete it. Hidden messages are kept in the list.
- RSVP — a short note, with a link to RSVP settings. Guests reply through your existing RSVP flow.
- Footer — your names, date and place, always on.
Choosing photos
The photo picker opens when you choose a photo. In it you can:
- Upload photos from your device.
- Select photos. The counter reads N selected — click order = display order when you are choosing several.
- Cancel to close without changes, or Use selection to keep them.
If no photos exist yet, the picker says No photos yet — upload a few to get started. Photos you upload here are added to your wedding gallery.
Saving and publishing
- Save changes saves what you have edited in the editor. The button is turned on only when something has changed.
- Saving does not publish the site. Publishing is a separate switch in Website Settings. A site that is not published is not visible to guests.
- To check the page as guests see it, publish the site and click View live. There is no separate preview mode in the editor.
FAQ
