My Habits is the list of everything you track. Use it to add habits, change them, pause the ones you're taking a break from, and start a vacation. The Dashboard and Tracker show what you do each day. This page is where you decide what goes into them.
The page at a glance
The header has three buttons, and the free plan counter sits next to them:
- Vacation starts vacation mode. It's hidden while a vacation is already active.
- New Habit opens the habit form. See Creating and editing habits.
- On the free plan, a counter shows how many habits you've used against your limit of 3.
The category rail
The rail on the left lists all habits first, then each category with a coloured dot and the number of habits in it. Click a category to show only its habits. The selected entry is highlighted. To create or rename categories, use the Categories page.
Search and status filters
- Search filters the list by habit name as you type.
- All shows every habit.
- Active shows habits that are running.
- Paused shows habits you've deactivated.
The filters combine with the category you chose in the rail.
The habit list
The list groups habits by category. Each row shows the habit's emoji, its name and its settings. Click the name to open the habit in the form.
Each row has four buttons on the right. Their labels include the habit name:
- Activate or Deactivate (the toggle) pauses or restarts the habit. See Pausing a habit below.
- Edit opens the habit form, filled in with its current values.
- Duplicate creates a copy with the same settings. The copy counts toward the free plan limit.
- Delete removes the habit after you confirm with Are you sure you want to delete this habit?
If you have no habits, the page says "Add your first habit to start tracking your progress." If your search or filter has no matches, it says "No habits in this view."
Pausing a habit
Deactivate pauses a habit. A paused habit:
- moves to the Paused filter,
- disappears from the Dashboard, the Tracker and the Analytics totals,
- keeps its past entries, so nothing you logged is lost,
- still counts toward your free plan limit. Only deleted habits are removed from the count.
Activate brings it back to the Dashboard and Tracker straight away.
Pause a habit instead of deleting it when you're only taking a break. You keep its history and you can restart it with one click.
Suggested Habits
At the bottom of My Habits is a collapsible Suggested Habits panel. It appears only when there are suggestions. Each suggestion shows a name, a short reason, how often it repeats and when it fits, and some are marked Recommended. Suggestions are a starting point: they don't add anything automatically. To add one, click New Habit and enter the same name.
Vacation mode
Use vacation mode when you'll be away and don't want to lose your streaks.
- Click Vacation in the header.
- Pick a Start Date and an End Date. Both are required before Activate Vacation is enabled.
- Optionally, write a Reason.
- Click Activate Vacation. The button shows Activating... while it saves.
While vacation mode is active, a banner on the page reads Vacation Mode — Streaks protected until followed by the end date. The Vacation button is hidden. To finish early, click End Early in the banner.
The banner tells you when the protection ends. Check your streaks on the Tracker after your trip to confirm they look as you expect.
If something doesn't load
If the habit list or the categories fail to load, the page shows "We couldn't load your habits. Please try again." with a Retry button. Click it, or refresh the page.
Frequently asked questions
FAQ
A paused habit keeps its history and comes back when you activate it. A deleted habit is removed from your list after you confirm.
On the free plan, paused habits count toward the 3-habit limit because they still exist in your account. Delete a habit you no longer need to free up a slot.
Click Edit on the habit, change Category in the form, and click Save.
