The Tracker: Your Month at a Glance

How to use the Habit Tracker monthly grid: move between months, tick days, log amounts and minutes in Enter Value, read the Goal, Left, percentage and streak columns, and open Global Progress.

The Tracker shows a whole month as a grid. Each row is a habit, each column is a day. Use it when you want to fill in several days at once, log an amount, or check how a month is going. The Dashboard is faster for ticking today's habits. Both save to the same place.

The month selector, Today button and Week / This Month switch

Move between months

  • Click the left arrow and right arrow beside the month name to go back or forward one month.
  • Click Today to jump back to the current month. It also selects the week that contains today.

Changing the month reloads the grid for that month.

Filter and switch the view

The Search box, the Today button and the view switch
  • Search filters the grid by habit name as you type. A message reads No results found when nothing matches.
  • Week shows one week of the month at a time. Pick the week with the Week 1 to Week 5 tabs that appear above the daily grid.
  • This Month shows every day of the month in one wide grid.
The search box with a term that matches nothing. The grid is replaced by the message No results found.

On phones the Tracker always uses the week layout, so the Week and This Month buttons are hidden there.

The daily grid

The daily grid for one week. Each box is one day of one habit.

The section heading Daily Habits shows how many daily habits match your search. The table has these parts:

PartWhat it shows
HabitThe habit's emoji and name
GoalThe monthly target, in days, from the habit's settings
Circle iconHow many days you've completed this month
LeftHow many more completions you need to reach the goal
% and barYour progress toward the goal for the month
Lightning icon, Current StreakYour streak today (hover for the name)
Trophy icon, Longest StreakYour best streak ever for this habit

The boxes for each day are the part you click.

The Week 1 to Week 5 tabs. The selected week, here Week 4, is highlighted.

Tick a day

Click an empty box on a Yes/No or Quit habit. It ticks straight away. Click a ticked box to clear it.

Log an amount or minutes

For Amount and Timer habits, clicking an empty box opens Enter Value.

Enter Value for Read before bed on October 21, prefilled with the daily target
  1. Type the number, or click one of the quick buttons. The four buttons are 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% of the daily target, rounded.
  2. The field starts with the daily target filled in, so you can click Save straight away if you reached it.
  3. Click Save to log the value, or Cancel to close without saving. Press Enter in the field to save.

The box then shows the number you logged. A box that already has a value doesn't open the dialog. Clicking it clears the value, so to change a logged amount, clear it first and then enter the new value.

The dialog's unit comes from the habit. Timer habits use min when no unit is set.

The weekly grid

Weekly habits have their own table below the daily grid, with a column for each week of the month (Week 1 to Week 5). Use it the same way as the daily grid: tick the cell for a Yes/No habit, or enter the value for an Amount or Timer habit.

The weekly grid: Weekly Habits with one cell per day, showing the week's progress for each habit.

Global Progress

Global Progress opened: the daily donut, the month trend, the top daily habits and the top weekly habits. It starts collapsed — click its title to open it.

Click Global Progress at the bottom of the page to open it. It opens and closes like a panel, and it loads its charts when you open it. It contains:

  • Overall Daily Progress: a donut showing your overall daily completion rate for the month.
  • Global Progress trend: an area chart across the month.
  • Weekly Overview: each week with its completed count, its goal and a progress bar.
  • Top 10 Daily Habits and Top 3 Weekly Habits: your strongest habits this month, ranked by progress.

Empty states and errors

  • No habits yet appears when you have no active habits. The page suggests you add habits from My Habits.
  • Failed to load tracker data appears when the month can't load. Click Retry.
  • Paused habits are not shown on the Tracker. Activate a habit on My Habits to see it again.

If you lost track of where you are in the month, click Today. It takes you back to the current month and to the week that contains today.
