Habit Tracker Settings: Notifications, Integrations and Your Account

Where Habit Tracker settings live: control Habits notifications by channel, set quiet hours, connect habits to goals, and manage your profile, theme, plan and data.

Habit Tracker doesn't have a separate settings screen of its own. Instead, the gear icon at the bottom of the sidebar opens your NevaPlan Account Settings inside the Habit Tracker layout. Anything you change there applies across your whole account, and a few options are specific to habits. This article points out the ones that matter most.

Open Settings

Click the gear icon at the bottom of the sidebar. On a phone, tap Settings in the bottom bar. The page opens on Profile, with the other sections listed on the left:

Notifications for Habits

Under Notifications, scroll to By module & channel. Each NevaPlan module has its own row, and the habit row is called Habits. Turn each channel on or off:

  • In-app: the bell in the top bar. Keeping this on keeps the bell's badge up to date.
  • Email: messages to your account email.
  • Push: notifications on devices where you've allowed them.

Higher up on the same page you'll find:

  • On this device: Notification sound (with Volume) and Desktop notifications. These are stored in your browser, so they only apply to the device you're using.
  • Quiet hours: a Start and End time, plus your Timezone. Push and email notifications pause during this window.

Set quiet hours to cover your sleep, for example 22:00 to 07:00. You'll still see everything in the bell when you open the app, but nothing will buzz at night.

Habit Tracker doesn't send a reminder at a set time for each habit. The Time of Day you give a habit is for grouping and filtering on the Dashboard.

Connect habits to your goals

If you also use Goal Planner, open Integrations. In Modules talk to each other, find Habits → Goals.

Integrations: the Habits → Goals switch

Here's how it works:

  • When a habit is linked to a goal in Goal Planner, its check-ins always feed that goal's progress, whether or not this switch is on.
  • With the Habits → Goals switch on, there's one extra step: the first time you complete a linked habit, any linked goal that is still Not Started moves to In Progress automatically.

Theme, language and timezone

Under Preferences you can switch between Light Mode and Dark Mode, pick your Language, and set your Timezone. The sun/moon button and the language menu at the top of every page are quick shortcuts for the same settings.

Your plan and your data

Subscription lists every NevaPlan product on your account and shows whether it's active. On the free plan, Habit Tracker allows up to 3 habits and doesn't include data export.

To download your habit history, use the CSV or JSON buttons on the Analytics page (paid plan). The general Export Data option under Data & Privacy is marked Coming Soon.

Delete Account under Data & Privacy permanently removes your whole NevaPlan account, including your habits, streaks and history in every module. It can't be undone. If you only want a break from a habit, pause it on My Habits instead.

Frequently asked questions

FAQ

Yes. In Notifications → By module & channel, switch off the channels in the Habits row and leave the other modules as they are.

Profile, Preferences, quiet hours and Data & Privacy are account-wide. Notification switches are per module, and each integration only affects the two modules it connects.
