Holidays: Birthdays, Anniversaries and Celebrations

Holidays & Celebrations is where you keep the dates that matter for your trips: birthdays, anniversaries, a honeymoon, a reunion or another milestone. It tells you what is coming up, and celebrations can be linked to a trip so that you can plan gifts for them.

Open it from the sidebar under Get ready.

What you see

Totals

The row at the top shows three numbers:

• Total: every holiday in your account.
• Upcoming: holidays that have not happened yet.
• This Month: holidays that fall in the current month.

Below the totals, when you have upcoming holidays, a Next Celebration card shows the next date and a countdown, such as "5 days left", or "Today!" or "Tomorrow" when it is close.

Type filter

The filter row starts with All. Each type has its own colour dot. Click a type to show only that type. Click All to show everything again.

Upcoming and past lists

The Upcoming list shows holidays that have not happened yet. Each row shows the name, the date, the type, and how far away the date is. The Past list shows celebrations that have passed, with how long ago they were, for example "77d ago".

When you hover over a row, a small Edit pencil and a Delete trash icon appear on the right. The past rows show only the pencil.

If there are no holidays yet, the page says "No holidays yet" and "Add birthdays, anniversaries, and celebrations to track them here".

Add a holiday

1. Click Add Holiday. The Add Holiday window opens.
2. Optionally pick a trip in the Select trip field. It starts on None. Choosing a trip links the holiday to that trip, which is needed before you can add gifts for it.
3. Enter the Holiday Name, for example "Mom's Birthday".
4. Choose the Type from the six buttons.
5. Pick the Date.
6. Optionally write a Description (optional) with notes about the celebration.
7. Click Add Holiday to save. The button stays disabled until you enter a name and a date.

Edit or delete a holiday

1. Hover over a holiday row and click the Edit pencil. The Edit Holiday window opens with the saved values.
2. Change the fields you need, then click Update.
3. To close the window without saving, click Cancel.

To delete a holiday, hover over an upcoming row and click the trash icon.

Link a holiday to a trip

A holiday can be linked to a trip. On the Gifts page, you choose a trip first, and then only the holidays linked to that trip can receive gifts. A holiday without a trip still shows in the lists here, but it does not appear on the Gifts page.
