Every trip has its own page. It opens when you click a trip card in My Trips, or Open itinerary on the dashboard. The page has a header with the trip's details and actions, a row of key numbers, and seven tabs. Each tab holds one part of the trip.

The header

From left to right:

  • Back (the arrow button) returns to My Trips.
  • The trip name, followed by a small status badge and a pencil icon. The pencil opens Edit Trip.
  • The destination, the dates and the budget, when one is set.
  • Share, ICS and PDF on the right. See the sections below.

Edit a trip

Click the pencil icon next to the name, or open the trip with the Edit Trip link. The Edit Trip window has these fields:

The Edit Trip window, filled in for a trip to Tokyo.
FieldNotes
Trip NameRequired.
DestinationThe city or place. Used for the weather and the map.
Start Date and End DateChange them here if your plans move.
BudgetThe total budget for the trip. This window has no currency field.
StatusPlanned, Ongoing, Completed or Cancelled.
Description (optional)A short note about the trip.
TravelersNames separated by commas, for example "Emily, James".

Click Save Changes to save, or Cancel to close the window without saving.

Changing the status does not delete anything. Use Completed when the trip is over, so it moves into the Past group, and Cancelled if the trip will not happen.

Share a trip

Share creates a public link to the trip.

  1. Click Share. The button changes to Shared, and the link /shared/trip/ followed by the trip's ID is copied to your clipboard. The button shows Copied! for a moment.
  2. Paste the link to anyone you want to show the trip to.
  3. To stop sharing, click Shared again. The link stops working.

Anyone with the link can see the shared trip page. Only share trips you are happy to show to others.

Export to a calendar (ICS)

Click ICS to download a calendar file called trip.ics. Open it in your calendar app to add the trip's dates and activities.

Export a PDF

Click PDF to download the trip as a PDF. PDF export is limited by your plan: the button is marked as a paid feature, and on a plan without it the app shows the plan options instead of the file.

The weather strip

When the trip is Planned or Ongoing and it has a destination, a small strip shows the forecast day by day, starting with Now. It is hidden for completed and cancelled trips.

The stats strip

Below the header, five boxes summarize the trip:

  • Total Spent
  • Remaining
  • Daily Avg
  • Activities
  • Packed, as a percentage of the packing list
The stats strip: Total Spent, Remaining, Daily Avg, Activities and the packed percentage.

The strip is hidden on the Budget tab, which shows its own figures.

If the trip has expenses in more than one currency, the page says "Only USD expenses are included. Review other currencies in your budget." (with your trip's currency)

The tabs

Click a tab to change the view. A number on the tab shows how many items it holds.

The selected tab is kept in the address, so you can bookmark a tab or share the link inside the app.

The number on the Itinerary tab counts all activities, including ones without a day. The number on the Budget tab counts expenses.

FAQ

Anyone who has the link can open the trip page. Turn sharing off by clicking Shared again. Other people do not get access to your account.

PDF export is limited by your plan. The calendar (ICS) export is not limited in the same way and is always shown.

No. Activities keep the day numbers and times you gave them. Check the Itinerary tab after changing the dates, and move activities that now fall outside the trip.
