A guide to the seven tabs of Travel Tools: the currency converter, carbon and transport comparison, budget forecast, budget destinations, places nearby, loyalty points and cheapest flight dates.

Travel Tools is a set of calculators and lookups for planning a trip. Each tool is a tab at the top of the page. You do not need a trip to use them, although the budget forecast and the explore tools are easier to use with a destination in mind.

Open it from the sidebar under Get ready.

Travel Tools: the seven tabs across the top, with the active tool below

The seven tabs are Currency, Carbon, Forecast, Explore, Places, Loyalty and Flights. Click a tab to open it. Only one tool is shown at a time. The tab you open stays selected if you reload the page.

Currency

The Currency tab: the Currency Converter with Amount, From and To fields and the converted result

The Currency Converter converts an amount from one currency to another, using the exchange rates the app has stored. Enter the Amount, choose the From and To currencies, and read the result.

Use it to check prices before you pay abroad. Exchange rates change, so the converter gives a guide, not the rate your bank will charge.

Carbon

The Carbon tab: the Carbon Footprint card with the CO2 comparison bars, and the Transport Comparison card below

The Carbon Footprint card estimates emissions for a distance you enter in Distance (km). Below it, the CO₂ Emissions Comparison lists each transport option as a bar with its value in kilograms, so you can see how much each one emits.

The Transport Comparison card compares price, duration and CO₂ across transport types for one route. Enter the Distance (km) and the number of Passengers, then click Compare.

Forecast

The Forecast tab: the Budget Forecast form with Destination, Days, Travelers, Style and Calculate

The Budget Forecast estimates what a trip to a destination might cost.

  1. Choose the Destination from the list, or leave it on Select... and pick one first.
  2. Enter the number of Days and Travelers.
  3. Choose a Style: Budget, Mid-Range or Luxury. It starts on Mid-Range.
  4. Click Calculate.

The result shows the cost per person per day and the total for the group. Use the figures as a starting point for your budget. The real cost depends on the dates and your choices.

Explore

The Explore tab: the budget form with Total Budget, Days, Travelers, Style, the Find Destinations button and the AI usage counter

Explore Destinations by Budget works the other way round. Enter a Total Budget and click Find Destinations. The tool lists the destinations within your budget.

Each destination card can have a Generate Trip Plan button. This uses AI, and the AI usage pill at the top of the tab goes down when you use it. When the monthly limit is used up, the button reads AI Limit Reached and cannot be used until the next month. Only use it when you want a plan.

Places

The Places tab: the search field and the category chips

Discover Places finds places near a destination. Type a city or area into Enter a city or destination..., then choose a category. The categories are:

  • Restaurants, Cafés, Bars
  • Museums, Parks, Attractions, Viewpoints
  • Hotels, Shopping, Supermarkets
  • Pharmacy, Hospital, ATMs

If no places are found, the tool says "No places found. Try another destination or category."

Loyalty

The Loyalty tab: the Loyalty Points Tracker with a Program list, a Points / Miles field and an Add Card button

The Loyalty Points Tracker keeps your miles and points programs in one place.

  1. Choose a Program from the list.
  2. Enter your Points / Miles balance.
  3. Click Add Card to save the card to the tracker.
  4. Read the Estimated Value in US dollars, the cents per point, and the Redemption Options with suggestions.

Your loyalty cards are stored in the browser you are using. They do not sync to other devices.

Flights

The Flights tab: the Cheapest Flight Dates form with From (Country), Destination and a month picker

Cheapest Flight Dates shows the cheapest days to fly between two places in a month.

  1. Choose the From (Country) and enter the Destination.
  2. Use the arrows to pick the month. The month shown is October 2026 in the example above.
  3. Read the prices by day. A day with no data shows "No flight data available for this route. Try another destination."

Prices shown here are from the price data the app receives. Check the price on the booking site before you pay.

The tools give estimates and lookups. They do not book anything, and they do not change your trips, bookings or expenses. Check important figures, such as prices, visa rules and emissions, with the provider before you rely on them.

FAQ

No. Travel Tools is for looking things up and estimating. To add a result to your trip, enter it yourself on the trip's Budget or Bookings tab.

Trip plans generated with AI are limited each month for your plan. The limit resets the next month. You can still use the other tools.

Loyalty cards are stored in the browser on that device. Add them again on each device you use.

The route may have no price data for that month. Try another month or destination.
