The Settings page holds the few preferences that apply across all of Project Manager. To open it, click the gear icon at the bottom of the left sidebar.

Project Manager Settings: currency, working days, holidays, categories and team members

Changes aren't saved automatically. When you're done, press Save at the top right. A short Success message confirms your settings were saved.

Currency Symbol

Type the symbol you want to see next to money amounts, for example $, €, £ or ₺. It can be up to 5 characters long.

The symbol is used on the dashboard's Budget remaining card and Finance panel, in each project's Financials, and on project budget pages.

Changing the symbol only changes how amounts are displayed. Numbers you've already entered are not converted to another currency.

Working Days

Click the days of the week your team normally works. Highlighted days are working days, grey days are days off. By default, Monday to Friday are on and Saturday and Sunday are off.

Project Manager uses your working days when it works out team capacity in Resource Planning and when it plans time slots in Time Blocking.

Holidays & Days Off

Add public holidays, company closures or anything else that isn't a working day:

  1. Pick the date.
  2. Type a Description, for example "Christmas". If you leave it empty, it's saved as "Holiday".
  3. Press the + button.

To remove a day, click the trash icon next to it. Holidays are skipped in capacity and time-blocking calculations, and they're shaded on the Gantt Chart.

Project Categories

Keep a list of the categories you use for your projects, such as Marketing, Event Planning or Logistics. Type a name and press + (or Enter) to add it. Click the × on a category to remove it.

Team Members (Person In Charge)

Keep a list of the people who own projects and tasks. Type a name and press + (or Enter) to add it. Click the × to remove someone.

Your team member list

Use exactly the same spelling for a person every time you assign work, for example always "Lisa Park" and not sometimes "Lisa". The Person filter on the Kanban Board and the dashboard's Team Workload group tasks by the exact name.

What these settings don't change

  • Removing a category or team member here does not change projects or tasks that already use that name.
  • The Person In Charge and Category fields in the project and task forms accept any text, so you can still type a name that isn't on your list.

FAQ

Make sure you pressed Save at the top right. If you leave the page without saving, your changes are lost.
