A project groups related tasks under one name, with its own dates, owner and budget. This article covers the Projects page, the project form and the project detail page.
The Projects page
Click Projects in the sidebar. Each project appears as a card showing:
- its status (for example To Do or In Progress) and category
- its priority
- the Person In Charge and End date, with an overdue warning if the end date has passed
- a Progress bar with how many tasks are done (for example 2/8 tasks done)
Use the search box to find a project by name or category. The All, active and done buttons filter the list: active hides completed and canceled projects, done shows only completed ones.
Create a project
- Press New Project at the top right.
- Enter a Project Name (required).
- Fill in the rest as needed, then press Create Project.
| Field | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Status | To Do, In Progress, Hold, To Review, Started, Overdue, Canceled or Completed |
| Priority | Very High, High, Medium, Low, Very Low or On Hold |
| Start Date / End date | When the project begins and is due. The end date drives the "overdue" warning |
| Person In Charge | Who owns the project. Type any name |
| Category | A label such as "Marketing" or "Logistics". Type any text |
| Budget, Expenses, Revenue | Money planned, spent and earned. Used for profit and the dashboard Finance card |
| Description | Optional notes about the project |
On the free plan you can have one project. If you try to add another, you'll be asked to upgrade.
Edit, complete or delete a project
Every project card has three controls:
- Pencil icon — opens the same form so you can change any field. Press Save Changes when you're done.
- Done (bottom left) — marks the whole project as completed: its status becomes Completed and progress goes to 100%. Click it again to reopen the project.
- Trash icon — deletes the project after you confirm. This can't be undone.
Deleting a project can't be undone. If the work is simply finished, use Done instead. The project stays in your history under the done filter.
The project detail page
Click View on a project card (or a project in Project health on the dashboard) to open its detail page.
At the top, a summary bar shows the Status, Person In Charge, End Date and Overall Task Progress (tasks done out of total).
Below it you'll find:
- All Tasks — every task in the project. Click the circle to mark a task done, the title to open its details, or the trash icon to delete it. Overdue due dates are shown in red.
- Budget — a link in the All Tasks header that opens the project's budget page.
- Calendar — this month, with dots for task due dates and overdue tasks.
Scroll down to the Project Info · Financials · Status Distribution section. Click the heading to show or hide it.
- Project Info lists everything from the form, plus Days Left until the end date.
- Financials shows Budget, Expenses and Revenue, and works out Profit (revenue minus expenses) and Profit Margin for you.
- Further down are charts for overall task progress, a Decision Matrix summary, tasks per Person In Charge, a Status Distribution chart, and an Overdue Tasks table.
Press Back at the top right to return.
Keep your project's Expenses up to date as money goes out. The dashboard's Budget remaining card and the Finance panel add these figures up across all your projects.
