The two calendars show your work by due date. The Monthly Calendar is best for the big picture, the Weekly Calendar for planning the days ahead. Both include recurring task occurrences as well as regular tasks.
Find them in the sidebar, Views group. Press G then C to jump to the monthly one.
Calendars place a task on its Due Date. A task with only a start date does not appear. To see tasks as bars between two dates, use the Gantt Chart.
Monthly Calendar
What you see
- Month arrows (previous and next month) around the month and year, a Project dropdown (All Projects), an All / To Do / Done toggle, and a Today button.
- Four numbers for the month: Total, Done, Left and Progress.
- A grid of days, starting on Monday. Each day lists up to three tasks with a coloured dot. More than three show as "+2 more". Weekends have a slightly different shade, and today is highlighted.
- A Legend under the grid.
Open a day
Click any day. A pop-up named after the weekday and date lists every task due then, with a count such as "5 tasks". Each row shows a dot, the title, the priority, and a tick with Done if it is finished. Click the title of a regular task to open the Task Detail Panel. Recurring occurrences are listed but have no panel.
The legend
The Legend has two modes, Priority and Status.
- Priority colours the dots by Very High, High, Medium, Low, Very Low or On Hold. Done tasks get a green dot.
- Status colours the dots by status. Here you can click a status to hide its tasks from the calendar. Click it again to show them. A Show all statuses link appears while something is hidden.
Filters
- The Project dropdown shows one project's tasks only.
- To Do shows tasks that are not done. Done shows finished ones. All shows both.
- Today returns to the current month.
Weekly Calendar
What you see
- Week arrows, the Project dropdown, the All / To Do / Done toggle and a This Week button. The week runs Monday to Sunday.
- Summary numbers: Total, Done, Left and a Done percentage.
- A Daily Progress bar chart. For each day, hover to see how many tasks are done and how many are left.
- One block per day with the date, a percentage and progress bar when the day has tasks, and the day's tasks. Days with nothing show No tasks.
- A legend for task priority colours and Done.
How to use it
- Move between weeks with the arrows. Press This Week to come back.
- Click the circle on a task to mark it done, or click it again to undo. This works for recurring occurrences too.
- Click a regular task's title to open the Task Detail Panel.
Use the weekly view for a Monday planning session: filter to To Do, scan the week for crowded days, and change due dates on Variable Tasks to spread the load.
